ARTIST STATEMENT
Inspired by a passion for life and an affinity for large uncomplicated living, I have an innate desire to create. Using casting resin, leather, steel and brass, I turn bold visions into tangible designs through working with my hands. My art is spontaneous as is my spirit. Each creation is unique, a handcrafted expression of what's in me at the time. I take elemental shapes found in nature and combine them with influences from world travels to create pieces that are dramatic yet minimal; sexy yet strong; aggressive, yet soft. Through three dimensional designs, my work delivers an experience. It draws people in and asks them to interact with it, to see its shape and feel its texture. Each piece tells a different story, a story to be told by its observer. With life as my muse, I continue to push the boundaries of my art, vowing to never stand still.
